The Beach

Today winter has returned to the valley. The last few weeks we have been enjoying some springtime temperatures. When I finally had to put my sweater on today because it was cold in my house, I started thinking of Gary's sister. Melody lives in So. California and she always tells us that the best beach days are in January. How I wish we could be there right now!
Here are some pictures from the last time we visited the beach a year and a half ago.

This was Nathans first real experience with sand.
Emma stayed in the water almost the whole time.

Katie and Andrew spent a lot of time building tunnels in the sand.

Gary's so good to play with his kids in the water, especially since their mom would rather stay in her beach chair and read a good book. (I must say he is the sexiest man alive!)

Haha, I love that it's cloudy and overcast. And I bet it was July or August, right? Those are some of the coldest months at the beach.

We miss you guys!

You should TOTALLY come. This week! We're climbing back to the high 70's - low 80's. (I know -- that's so rude to rub it in. And it's absolutely GORGEOUS and clear right now. Road trip! (I'm serious.)

Gross! Don't talk about my Bishop like that! On the other hand, I'm sure Brad agrees with you.... :) Not to rub more in, but I'll call you from Miami on Saturday and let you know what it's like down there!

Oh, you just made us miss the beach. The weather report said it would be 20 degrees this morning so I got up and started walking to school. About a block down the road I couldn't feel my ears so the rest of the walk was pretty miserable. By the time I got to school I checked the weather and it was -13. And we're going to live in Idaho?
